San Diego Polo on Aloha Sunday and Fernando Gutierrez Memorial Cup

This was the Featured Match of the day and featured the divot stomp. The weather was hot but thank fully we had a nice breeze coming in from the ocean.

The Match was between the Adeptus Polo Team (Green Jerseys) 

and Rhythm & Power Team (Black and red Jerseys)

Everyone took a break during the divot stomp though I doubt many divots where stomped...

San Diego Polo on Aloha Sunday and Fernando Gutierrez Memorial Cup

I attended my first Polo match yesterday. Boy is this a physically demanding sport for both horse and rider!!! I saw one horse lose its footing and slide nearly ten feet throwing the rider. Thankfully both horse and rider walked away on their own but it was a scary fall. Loose footing and high speed do not mix well but do make for spectacular images. 

The First Match of the day was between the Von Fuerstenberg Polo Team (Orange Jerseys) 

and Twin Palms Polo Team (Blue Jerseys)
